Wild Little Hearts is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. I understand that every family's needs are a little different, so additional hours or half hour sessions may be available on request, subject to availability.
Regular evening and/or weekend childminding is not available however I am always happy to discuss ad-hock childminding needs and support this where I can.
Wild Little Hearts is closed on bank holidays, for two weeks in the summer holidays and on the days between Christmas and the new year.
Please feel free to call to discuss your childcare needs today :)
Here at Wild Little Hearts your child will experience a cosy, nurturing and nature filled environment, with a fully present caregiver and unhurried routine.
learning through connection
Under Two
My aim is to provide a home from home setting to provide each wild little heart with a traditional nurturing.
Two to Three
Pretend play starts to develop.
At this age children are confidently mobile which means they can engage in more complex play. Giving children the opportunity to understand social ques and no shame no guilt just working in harmony with their developmental stage to support positive interaction when they are ready.
Three to Five
This is the time to super boost social interaction with other children. You may wish to consider a nursery setting once your child turns 3.
Routines may vary depending on the
Connection, exploration and play will be at the heart of their day, provided in a homely, uncluttered, child centred environment.
I follow the EYFS guidance
, stories, songs and time to safely explore their curiosity.
As per national government guidance a childminder may only care for 3 children under 5 years old. Therefore you can be safe in the knowledge that your child is afforded the attention they deserve.
Here at Wild Little Hearts, working in partnership with parents is a top priority, so whatever your preferences, I will do my best to support you!
Routine is essential for a child's sense of safety and security and so there will be parts of the day that remain the same.
In the mornings time will be taken to welcome each wild little heart. My starting hours are set to ensure that this is possible.
Currently completing Hygge in the Early Years accredititation.
Routine is a large way in which children develop feelings of safety therefore although there will be lots of opportunity for different experiences, certain parts of the day will remain the same.
The day will always start the same with time for saying hello and enquiring about their morning.
Your wild little hearts will have the opportunity to take part in a range of safe and enriching activities outside the home every week. These include visits to local parks, woodlands, playgrounds, beaches, playgroups, farms and soft plays.

It is important to me that mealtimes are a comforting and enjoyable part of the day. I love home cooking and preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks that are nutritious and oh so good! Please see sample menu. Menu's are seasonal and typically run on a three week rota.
Preferences, intolerances, allergies and medical needs around eating can be confidently catered for. Your Little Heart's needs will be discussed and agreed prior to starting at Wild Little Hearts and reviewed throughout their time here.
Meals offered depend on the hours your Little Heart attends and if you have opted to pay for meals. You are welcome to pack your own snacks and meals that meet healthy eating guidance, if preferred.
Sleep is an important part of each Wild Little Heart’s day, supporting their wellbeing, development, and overall happiness. Wherever possible, your child’s familiar sleep routine will be followed, helping them feel safe, settled, and secure.
During the winter months, or on days that are particularly cold or wet, sleep will be offered indoors in our cosy living room. This space is thoughtfully prepared for rest, with softly dimmed lighting, calming music, and snug, comfortable floor beds to create a peaceful and nurturing atmosphere. All sleep arrangements are in line with safer sleep guidance.
In the warmer months, children may also enjoy the opportunity to sleep outdoors in the garden, making the most of fresh air and natural surroundings. Infants may rest in a buggy, while older children may sleep on a camp bed in a shaded, quiet spot. All sleep times are gently supervised and carried out in line with safer sleep guidance, ensuring each child feels comfortable, settled, and well cared for.
Nappies
Your child will be changed regularly throughout the day, with care taken to ensure they feel clean, comfortable, and content. Cloth nappies and reusable wipes are very welcome and will be used in line with your preferences.
Toilet Training
I am happy to support a wide range of toilet-training approaches, as consistency between home and childcare is so important for children. I believe each child’s journey is unique, and I am open to discussing both traditional and less traditional methods to find what works best for your family. For more traditional approaches, signs of readiness in your child will guide when we begin planning and supporting this next step together.
